Description

A beautifully little tactile crocheted ammonite in Teal, made with a high quality, recycled, 100% cotton braided cord. The item is sturdy and keeps its shape and the cord gives great definition to the crochet stitches used to create it. Please note that this colour is difficult to show accurately, the main image is the most true to life (on my monitor anyway!) as it is a darkish teal, more green than blue. This attractive small shell would look equally good displayed on a shelf, or used to hold an air plant, tiny cactus or houseplant. It could also provide useful storage to keep bits and bobs tidy on a desk or dressing table. The pattern describes it as an ammonite but it is also the shape of a nautilus shell so would fit in well with a seaside theme. Measurements: Approximately 9cm tall at its highest point, 14cm in length, and 6cm across at its widest point. I also make larger versions of this basket, see separate listings. Care instructions: I recommend a gentle surface clean with a damp cloth to remove dust but item may be carefully washed by hand at 30°C, reshape whilst damp.
