Cosy Faux Fur Backed Patchwork Quilt

Description

A traditional red and blue Log Cabin patchwork backed with a soft, luxurious faux fur that drapes beautifully for an extra special cosy feel. Ideal to use as a sofa blanket or a bed throw. The quilt measures 52″ wide by 62″ long (132cm x 158cm). The patchwork fabrics are all high quality 100% cotton prints by Moda. I’ve chosen a silky, light grey polyester faux fur approximately 1/4″ (8mm) deep to create a backing that has a wonderfully snuggly feel. The two layers are stitched together using a spiral quilting design to complement the patchwork pattern. Around the edge of the quilt I’ve attached a double layer cotton binding. The Log Cabin patchwork block symbolises hearth and home with the dark and light logs representing the ups and downs of family life all set around a central square representing the warmth of a homely fire. Machine washable on a gentle cycle. Designed and made in my smoke-free, pet-free home sewing studio.
