Patchwork Quilt

Description

A patchwork quilt suitable for a sofa or armchair throw. The fabric chosen is Moda’s 100% cotton ‘Flower Pot’ range. Colours are predominantly teal, terracotta, olive green, cream in a variety of prints, stripes, spots, etc. The quilt is made from six rows of 5” squares and three alternating rows of half squares. The full squares are joined by 2” sashes in a pale blue cotton and a full width 2” sash has also been attached between each row. The pale blue sash has been continued round all four edges of the quilt top. The backing of the quilt has been made from the pale blue cotton and a 100% polyester needle punched soft and bright wadding has been sandwiched between the two layers with machine quilting. The binding has been made from double thickness teal cotton machine stitched to the front of the quilt and hand finished with slip stitch on the reverse side. Measurements: 52”x 34.5” (132×87.5cm)
